Michael Paouris

Michael Paouris is an internationally renowned composer, producer and virtuoso in both Bouzouki and Guitar. He was the first to officially include the Bouzouki in Jazz. His compositions in classical music and Jazz are the most innovative ideas in the 100-year history of the instrument.

He was born in Athens in 1987 and grew up in Tavros. At the age of 7, he was labeled a “child prodigy” due to his very rare Bouzouki skills and his, to this day, inexplicable speed and technique.

His professional career began when he was only 10 years old, while at 15 Mikis Theodorakis compared him to the great composer and instrumentalist Manolis Chiotis. To date, he has received dozens of international awards and distinctions, while he has collaborated with legends of the international music scene, such as the internationally renowned guitarist Al Di Meola.
